Cloud-based documents package to go mobile

On-the-go Docs editing coming within weeks.

Google is updating its Docs applications to allow mobile editing on the Apple iPad and on Android phones.

The cloud-based documents package, will be renewed in the coming weeks so that Documents, Presentations, Spreadsheets and Forms will all be full accessible for mobile users.

Up until now, Google Docs has been view-only on mobile devices.

It's likely that this will be a free upgrade, leaving Apple with a bit of a quandry. It offers its iWork suite, which is similarly specced with word processing and spreadsheet, but downloading that will cost £10.
