Audio specialist GEAR4 has confirmed that its recently unveiled Apple AirPlay compatible speaker the GEAR4 AirZone Series 1 will officially go on sale next month.

Officially launched at IFA 2011 in Berlin last month the GEAR4 AirZone Series 1 release date has been pencilled in for November 21st with users to be able to wirelessly stream music from around the home using an iPhone, iPad, Mac or iPod Touch device.

GEAR4 AirZone Series 1 Features

Capable of connecting up to your wireless network the AirZone Series 1 is to boast an enhanced LCD display allowing users to view the songs being played with track titles and artist info appearing on the front mounted screen.

Packing an inbuilt FM radio alongside seven audio equaliser settings and a compact remote control GEAR4’s first AirPlay speaker is to boast a brushed metal design with a 3.5mm audio input port allowing users to play music from any non Apple branded PMP or audio source.

With a November 21st release date now lined up for the AirPlay compatible AirZone the company behind the recently launched Angry Birds speakers has confirmed that the Series 1 speaker will set wannabe owners back £199.99.
