Foursquare and INQ have inked a deal which will see the latter’s Android phones get a dedicated home screen for the location aware social service. Owners of phones including the INQ Cloud Touch will be able to swipe their blowers and get realtime Foursquare info on-the-go.
Based on previous check-ins, current location and check-ins by your pals, the Foursquare home screen will deliver live recommendations on where to eat, where to hang out and where to shop.
If you’re not a member of Foursquare, fear not. INQ says it’s got that one covered. CEO Frank Meehan said, “We’re looking to make it really easy for a consumer to discover and sign up to foursquare itself, via the start-up sequence. Then we’re taking foursquare’s great knowledge of the world around you and visualising that on your home screen, enabling you to explore events, restaurants, clubs and even bookmark places in a to-do list.”
