A video by phone hacking enthusiasts windowsphonehacker.com has shown a mod which allows users to create folders on the main menu screen.
Although in the very early stages, once set up, the video shows how apps, or tiles can be placed into a folder with the folder showing a preview of each application. If there are too many apps to show on just one tile it can then be flipped over to the other side to show the rest of the apps in the folder.
It's a neat way of approaching folders within Windows Phone 7 and definitely something that should have been included in the Mango 7.5 update. Windowsphonehacker.com have admitted however that you need a phone running a developer build of Windows Phone 7.5 and that the process itself of setting folders up can be quite complex, that said it looks like once completed, the end results look incredibly polished.
