FIFA 12 tops opening gaming chart of the year
COD latest..
EA Sports’ record breaking football title FIFA 12 has retained the top spot of the All Format UK gaming chart, while FPS titans Battlefield 3 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 continue to battle it out for podium positions.
Securing a third consecutive week atop the UK All Format Gaming Chart FIFA 12 has capitalised on the lack of new entries and a run of high-profile real world matches to land the first top 40 success of 2012.
Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3 took second and third places respectively, a reversal of last week’s chart, leaving EA in domination of the top two positions.
While Just Dance 3 held its ground in fourth place, Bethesda’s RPG epic Skyrim had a better week, climbing back up the league from eighth position to fifth. Rounding out positions six, seven and eight were Zumba Fitness, Need for Speed: The Run and Saints Row: The Third whilst Rage and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations completed the top ten.
Further down the ranks, ID Software’s post-apocalyptic shooter Rage finally pushed into the top ten, climbing from 12th position to 9th, and knocking Forza Motorsport 4 down to eleven.
