FIFA 12 reclaims UK Gaming Chart top spot during Euro 2012
Whilst FIFA Street slumps to 13th in the charts EA Sports' FIFA 12 has capitalised on the Euro 2012 frenzy to top the UK All Format Gaming Chart
With Euro 2012 dominating the TV schedule football fever has gripped the nation’s gamers as EA Sports’ FIFA 12 storms back to the top of the UK All Format Gaming Chart.
Reclaiming the title it secured following its late September 2011 UK release date, FIFA 12 has risen two places to take the week’s top honours ahead of last week’s chart topper, Ghost Recon: Future Solider and Rockstar’s Max Payne 3 in second and third positions respectively.
Lining up as the highest new entry for the week ending June 16th, Warner Bros’ Lollipop Chainsaw has landed in fourth with the epic first-person shooter Battlefield 3 dropping one place to fifth. Rising a staggering 22 positions thanks to a number of competitive pricing deals Diablo 3 has rocketed back up the charts to sixth.
Rounding out the week’s top ten highest selling all format gaming releases, book and TV series tie-in Game of Thrones has dropped to seventh ahead of Sniper Elite V2 and Mario & Sonic London 2012 Olympic Games in eighth and ninth sports respectively. Codemasters’ DiRT Showdown maintains tenth spot.
