Developer EA has recorded strong sales across its core gaming titles with flagship franchise releases FIFA 12 and Battlefield 3 shifting more than 10 million copies apiece since launching in the fourth quarter of 2011.
Having landed on the usual array of core consoles as well as a host of portable gaming options back in September, FIFA 12 has gone on to be EA's highest grossing addition to the football franchise to date shifting more than 10 million copies globally in the process.
Battlefield 3 vs. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
Widely regarding as one of the most visually impressive games of the year Battlefield 3, which touched down for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in October, has become the developer's highest grossing FPS game of all time again topping the impressive sales figure milestone.
Despite these impressive sales figures and with FIFA 12 remaining the only game to top the UK All Format Gaming Charts in 2012 EA has seen all of its lead releases overshadowed by Activision's annual COD offering, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, the highest selling and grossing title of the past 12 months.
Further successes reported by EA ahead of this weekend's Superbowl extravaganza include Madden 12 with huge popularity in the US and steady UK sales seeing the American Football title shift more than 5 million copies.
