PS Vita release title F1 2011 latest to show off its upcoming wares as developer Codemasters outs a selection of high octane screenshots

Propping up the field of PS Vita showcase titles developer Codemasters has released a selection of new F1 2011 screenshots for Sony's upcoming next-generation portable games console.

With the final race of the 2011 F1 calendar to take place over the coming weekend it seems and unusual move for Codey's next F1 release to follow the same naming structure as the soon to be completed season.

Sony PS Vita Release Date

Set to land as one of the lead third party launch day titles for the recently unveiled and eagerly awaited PSP replacement F1 2011 will hit he UK alongside the February 22nd Sony PS Vita release date.

Boasting a 5-inch 960x 554p touchscreen display and hefty ARM Cortex A9 quad-core processor the Vita is set to be a true powerhouse of the portable gaming market and take on the rising prominence of smartphone and tablet app-based gaming.

Earlier this week Sony officially confirmed its selection of first party PS Vita UK release titles with the 12 strong collection of games to be headlined by the inclusion of Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Wipeout 2048 and Motorstorm RC.
