Apple is just hours away from its product launch in San Francisco, but it may have already confirmed the iPhone 5 by name. A search carried out on Apple.com for 'iPhone 5' has resulted in a link (currently broken) to the new smartphone’s press release.
The above image, first seen in a story published on 9t05 Mac, shows that a page exists for a device listed at Apple.com as the 'iPhone 5'. The site also says a similar search string has returned similar results for devices listed as a new iPod Touch and iPod Nano.
The iPhone 5 is easily one of this year's most hotly anticipated gadgets and its search string is currently trending heavily on search engines and social media sites worldwide. The iPhone 5 is rumoured to be larger and thinner than its predecessors, while featuring 4G connectivity allowing for speedier access to data and streaming media. It's expected to be unveiled at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco at 6pm local time.
