Diamond-encrusted and leather-clad laptops!

At just under £200,000 you'd expect an ice-encrusted notebook to chauffeur you to the office and do all your work for you

The Tulip E-Go Diamond is the Liberace of laptops. Outrageously sparkling and over-the-top this blingin' bit of kit is studded with hundreds of diamonds, and even boasts a pair of tulip logos each housing a humungous square-cut ruby. But it'll cost you £197,000 for the privilege of owning one of these dandy portable PCs.

The Dutch company, Tulip, has also unveiled a range patterned fabric and leather-clad E-Go laptops. Designs include zebra skin and tulips (no surprises there), and the leather version even has a polished wooden handle! Shape-wise they're extremely similar to Apple's classic clam-like G3 iBook, which is no bad thing. This new line-up of customisable head-turners will go on sale in October 2005.
