Still to come before christmas are marquee titles such as Battlefield 3, Modern Warfare 3 and Gears of War 3, as well as games outside the first-person shooter genre such as FIFA 12 and Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
Having lost its number one spot, Zumba Fitness still retains a respectable second place. Rugby World Cup fever is building, and third place goes to the new and aptly-titled 'Rugby World Cup 2011', pushing Lego Pirates of the Caribbean down into fourth.
In fifth place amazingly, is Call of Duty: Black Ops, having jumped 13 places over the week. Long time rival Battlefield 2 meanwhile, has dropped 6 places from twelfth to eighteenth. With Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3 just over a month away, is this a precursory sign of things to come? Probably not. But it is interesting nonetheless.
Cars 2 and FIFA 11 have dropped into sixth and seventh respectively, Dirt 3 remains in eighth leaving Lego Harry Potter in ninth. Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood jumps up nine places into tenth at the expense of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D as hardware and software sales for the Nintendo 3DS continue to stutter.
