Dell Inspiron Mini 9 gets solid state boost
32GB storage option for accident-prone media hoarders
Well, it launched back in September and got the thumbs up when put to the test by T3. And now the Dell Inspiron Mini 9 has had an upgrade.
Ok, it's more of an added option than an upgrade, with Dell now offering a 32GB solid state storage option - initially just to US customers, but we suspect the UK site will offer it in next to no time too. Solid state is certainly the way to go if you want your data to survive those bumps and knocks, but the payback is less capacity for more cash. A price too high for many.
Saying that, the 32GB version works out at only £60 more than the 16GB option in the US, which seems like a fair premium if that's translated to the UK market. But that is a big 'if' when it comes to technology pricing.
