Dead Space 3 dominates UK sales chart

Dead Space 3 becomes the top selling game in UK retailers

Dead Space 3 replaces Ni No Kuni: Wrath Of The White Witch as the top selling videogame in UK retailers

Dead Space 3 has entered the UK videogames retail sales chart in first position, enjoying the biggest launch so far of any game in 2013, and knocking last week's chart topper, Ni No Kuni: Wrath Of The White Witch, down to sixth place. While it enjoyed the best sales in the last week, Dead Space 3 sales were down 26 per cent on those of Dead Space 2, which also debuted on the chart in first place just over two years ago.

Elsewhere in the chart, there's no change in the games ranked second to fifth, with FIFA 13, Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2, Far Cry 3 and Hitman HD Trilogy hanging onto their positions from a week ago. Assassin's Creed III slips off the top ten chart altogether, while Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed replaces The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim at tenth position. The rest of the top ten chart shapes up as follows:

1. Dead Space 3 (new entry)
2. FIFA 13 (ranked 2nd last week)
3. Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 (ranked 3rd last week)
4. Far Cry 3 (ranked 4th last week)
5. Hitman HD Collection (ranked 5th last week)
6. Ni No Kuni: Wrath Of The White Witch (ranked 1st last week)
7. Need For Speed: Most Wanted (ranked 7th last week)
8. Just Dance 4 (ranked 8th last week)
9. Hitman Absolution (ranked 9th last week)
10. Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed (ranked 18th last week)
