Crysis 3 outsells Metal Gear Revengeance in first week of relase

Crysis 3 has debuted in the top slot of the UK's games sales chart, outselling Metal Gear Revengeance by 5,500 copies

EA's super-powered shooter Crysis 3 has snatched the top spot of the UK video games sales chart, beating off stiff competition from Metal Gear Rising Revengeance in the first week of release for both games. According to GfK Chart-Track, Crysis 3 outsold MGR: Revengeance by 5,500 copies and analysts have pointed to the former's appearance on the PC platform as the reason for this.

Neither of this week's new releases, however, sold as many copies in their first week of release as last week's chart topper, Aliens Colonial Marines, which drops to fifth place this week. Elsewhere, FIFA 13 and Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 hang on to the third and fourth slots respectively, while Fary Cry 3 tumbles to seventh place. The rest of the top ten sellers of this week shapes up as follows:

1. Crysis 3 (new entry)
