Aimed at photographers looking for a cheaper option to professional standalone light meters
Company turns iPhone into light meter
Photographers looking for a new lightmeter may no longer need to purchase a standalone device if a US-based start up has its own way.
Extrasensory Devices’ Luxi – currently looking to raise funds through Kickstarter – clips onto your iPhone and allows users to determine the correct settings for their camera based on the ambient light.
The company has set a price for $20 per adapter, a big saving on the average price of a professional light meter.
There have been a number of apps designed to measure ambient light for photographers, but this is the first that would use a diffusion ball like a professional light meter.

We're working to fix the problem right now and will have it working as soon as possible
