Developers Activision and EA are to take their first-person shooter battles centre stage with the rivals confirming they are to air new Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and Medal of Honor Warfighter during tomorrow’s Champions League final.
Whilst Chelsea and Bayern Munich line up to duke it out on the pitch, Activision and EA are to do battle during the ad breaks with both companies confirming they are to take the lucrative halftime ad slots to tout their upcoming gaming wares.
Having officially confirmed the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 release in recent weeks, Activision has announced it is to show off new facets of its COD title during Saturday’s halftime interval. With a new Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 trailer to be debuted during the game, the developer will lead on to its upcoming E3 showing of the next addition to the dominant gaming franchise.
Looking to take some of the limelight of its bitter Call of Duty rival, EA has revealed it is also set to utilise the pricy advertising spaces to offer viewers the first look at a new Medal of Honor Warfighter video ahead of the game’s release later this year.
