Carphone Warehouse unveils the Credit Crunch mobile phone
Snap up a Samsung B130 for under a fiver
Times are tough and we all have to make financial sacrifices - but if we hand over £4.95 to the Carphone Warehouse for its Credit Crunch mobile, we might just be sacrificing our credibility too.
The phone in question is the Samsung B130 and there's no denying it is a good deal - a pay-as-you-go phone from a leading maker for less than a pair of pints at your local. Ok, features are almost non-existent, aside from MP3 ringtones, WAP browsing and (strangely) a voice recorder, but if you just call and text, why needs the whistles and bells?
But in the age of the iPhone and the BlackBerry Storm, do you really want to be flashing the B130 around on the daily commute? Of course not, some things are just too much of a sacrifice. Although it might be useful to stick in the glove compartment, an office drawer or indeed any dark place as emergency back-up.

sorry no bluetooth on this but it does have a fm radio..wow.
great if you need a spare phone. i work for carphone and we sell tons of this phone and they seem never to go wrong . good way to spend a fiver.
