New compact official after series of leaks

G11 replacement packs in HD Ready video, HDR and Hybrid IS.

Today’s already turning camera crazy. With Olympus and Samsung already plying new wares, now it’s the turn of Canon to out its new effort, the G12.

Splashed across the web a few weeks ago, the G12 packs in 720p video, a boost from the old-school G11 which lacked HD recording skills. It also touts HDR photos, as well as Canon’s Hybrid IS feature for taking super sharp Macro shots.
