Ahead of the ever nearing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 release date developer Infinity Ward has revealed the eagerly awaited FPS title will not play host to the franchise's usual Prestige Edition release.
Making the announcement via micro-blogging site Twitter Infinity Ward Creative Strategist Robert Bowling confirmed the expected Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Prestige Edition release would not come to light with gamers having to make do with standard and Hardened editions of the game.
“There is no Prestige Edition, only a Hardened Edition for #MW3,” Bowling tweeted to end speculation of the deluxe version of the next Call of Duty franchise edition.
In recent years Call of Duty titles have been made available with a Prestige Edition release with last year’s Call of Duty: Black Ops Prestige Edition coming bundled with a working remote control car. A Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 release date has been set for November 8th, less than two weeks after the Battlefield 3 release date.
