Developer Aspyr confirms original Call of Duty: Black Ops is finally heading to Mac

Almost two years after dropping for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, developer Aspyr has revealed it is to launch a Call of Duty: Black Ops Mac edition

Dedicated Mac developer Aspyr has revealed it is set to bring Activision's Call of Duty: Black Ops release to Apple's machines, almost two years after the title hit PC, PS3 and Xbox gamers.

Having previously brought the original COD offering, Call of Duty 2 and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare to Apple's Mac machines, Aspyr has confirmed the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops Mac release as the rest of gaming community awaits for the sub-series' sequel to land.

Although Aspyr has yet to reveal any precise Call of Duty: Black Ops Mac release dates, pricing plans or even system requirements for its upcoming offering, the developer has set out to create interest around the release by offering Mac users 50 per cent discounts on all previous COD releases.

Whilst Aspyr is looking ahead to the first Black Ops Mac release, excitement continues to grow around the upcoming November 13th Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 UK release date. Set in the year 2025, this year’s COD offering will see fans of the first-person shooter take on a futuristic warzone for the first time with the fate of the world at stake and the west’s technologically advanced weapons turned against it.
