Call of Duty: Black Ops DLC release announced for PS3
PS3 to get Black Ops DLC one month after Xbox users
The first downloadable content pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops, First Strike, is to be made available for the PlayStation 3 on March 3rd, more than a month after it hit the Xbox 360.
Having landed on February 1st for users of the Microsoft branded console, First Strike has been officially confirmed for the PS3 bringing with it the same array of additional content as seen on its earlier Xbox arrival.
Adding four new multiplayer maps and an additional Zombie mode map entitled Ascension, the PS3 First Strike DLC will see PlayStation gamers tackling levels set in Kowloon city, China, Discovery, a German Antarctic research post, Berlin Wall and an ice hockey arena known simply as Stadium.
Having been forced to wait more than a month longer than Xbox gamers for the additional content following an exclusivity deal between Microsoft and Activision, the March 3rd First Strike arrival will attempt to appease angered PS3 touting Black Ops gamers who have repeatedly knocked the title’s Xbox bias.
