BT has revealed its latest list, where 47 communities in Scotland, will receive broadband with speeds up to 20Mbps
The latest list of communities to get faster broadband has been released, with 47 communities in Scotland to benefit.
BT will allow more than 180,000 properties to access speeds of up to 20Mbps.
By next summer, around 72% of properties in Scotland are meant to have access to faster broadband as part of an on-going roll-out of super-fast fibre optic broadband in the UK.
BT Scotland director Brendan Dick said: "BT's roll-out of faster broadband across Scotland is gathering pace," said Brendan Dick, director, BT Scotland.
"Earlier this month we announced plans which will make super-fast, fibre-based broadband available to 695,500 homes and businesses by the end of next year," he added.
He confirmed the further investment and said it could lead to a big boost to local businesses.
