The Samsung Galaxy S3 launch marked the first true rival for the upcoming Apple iPhone 5 however its launch was not without a few hitches
The blue Samsung Galaxy S3 now has a general UK release date of the 22nd June according to Samsung's flagship store. The delay of the blue handset was revealed just a few weeks after the Android Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone had its launch.
Those who pre-ordered the Pebble Blue Galaxy S3 will be getting theirs through the post soon after it was revealed to The Inquirer that the long-awaited handsets had started to be sent out with limited numbers heading to stores in a few weeks.
While this means good news for Android fans in the UK, those in the US are facing a slightly more worrying situation where Apple has sought a Galaxy S3 ban.
Samsung Galaxy S3 Specs:
Officially launched earlier this month the Samsung Galaxy S3 is larger than its predecessor the Samsung Galaxy S2, with a colossal 4.8-inch HD Screen giving you 720p resolution on a smartphone.
Big, bold and beautiful, the new Samsung Galaxy comes running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on a stunning 4.8-inch AMOLED screen, and boasts a 1.4GHz Exynos 4 quad-core processor and an 8-megapixel rear-mounted snapper.
At 136.6 x 70.6 x 8.6mm, the S3 is slightly longer, wider and chubbier than its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S2 (125.3 x 66.1 x 8.49mm).
It’s also been reported that a Samsung Galaxy S3 4G version will be made available to US buyers, although information about this has been quite thin on the ground. We’ll ensure to keep you updated as soon as we hear more.
