BlackBerry Torch UK launch: Vodafone confirms plans

Voda getting all-new BlackBerry in "coming weeks" according to Twitter

Network details phone, but still no word on contracts or PAYG plans.

The BlackBerry Torch, announced with much fanfare yesterday, is heading to Vodafone. The network took to Twitter last night to confirm that it would be selling the cell, continuing a relationship that stretches back to the launch of the original BlackBerry Storm.

The simple tweet said, “The BlackBerry Torch will be coming soon to Vodafone UK,” before offering a link for you to register your interest. No firm dates have been set, but surely early adopters will be able to play nice by the end of the month.

If you missed yesterday’s mega announcement, the BlackBerry Torch rocks a full touchscreen with a portrait QWERTY slider, 5 megapixel camera and, perhaps most excitingly of all, the sleek new BlackBerry OS 6.

Whether other networks will join the Torch party remains to be seen. But if you’re keen, hit up the Vodafone link now. And once you’re done, take to Facebook and Twitter to tell us why you’re so keen.
