BlackBerry Storm 2 photos leaked

The BlackBerry Storm is due to get updated, and we don't just mean by Vodafone's software upgrade

We wrote about the BlackBerry Storm 2 rumour over a month ago, and whilst we were left sceptical about the news, it appears CrackBerry has been sent hands-on photos of the device.

CrackBerry says "looking at the photos, you can see it shares its physical appearance with both the original BlackBerry Storm and the yet unreleased BlackBerry Onyx/Driftwood". Slimmer than the original BlackBerry, "the buttons at the bottom now appear to be a touch-sensitive part of the screen".

A 3.2-megapixel camera is visible, as is the brushed aluminium back. Last month, we reported that the BlackBerry Storm 2 would have Wi-Fi connectivity and an improved touchscreen interface, something which impacted on us reviewing the original Storm at only four out of five stars. Vodafone, the exclusive carrier of the Storm in the UK, is aware of the flaws however, and recently released a software update for the device.

Stephen Fry is also famous for disliking the Storm, saying on Twitter last year "Play with the Storm for two days as I have and you will admire my patience at not throwing it out of the window".
