In a press briefing held this morning the company has unveiled what they're hoping will be the bread and butter handsets of their product line, offering affordable but also functional BlackBerry phones. Featuring the same optical trackpad and iconic keyboard as before the most notable changes have been to the hardware with the camera upgraded to a 5MP snapper and NFC built-in.
You'll also find a microSD/SDHC card slot which can be expanded up to 32GB and then there's of course WiFi and GPS built-in to boot. With BlackBerry OS 7 you'll get BlackBerry Protect which means you can remotely locate your Curve if it gets lost or stolen, you'll also get all the usual features such as Documents To Go and full HTML5 browsing.
There's no word as yet on pricing, however BlackBerry is hoping to get the Curve into shops by the beginning of September, stay tuned to T3.com however for all the updates from the BlackBerry press-briefing this morning.
