BlackBerry App World hits 10,000 app mark

RIM ups its game in its chase of the big two

Catalogue grows 85 per cent in six months.

Following the recent launch of RIM's BlackBerry App World 2.0 comes news that the store now has a llibrary of over 10,000 apps for BlackBerry loyalists to pick from.

While that figure won't be enough to worry Apple and Google Android just yet, it's a decent indication that RIM isn't giving up the fight and that developers are embracing the platform. The total number of apps has grown 85 per cent in the last six months alone.

BlackBerry App World was relaunched with verson 2.0 last month expediating the buying experience and minimum priced apps. The didn't perform too well in the recent T3 review, which you can read here.
