New payment methods, better search and your own unique BlackBerry ID comes to App World 2.0
BlackBerry App World 2.0 launched by RIM
RIM has launched a new version of its mobile app store, BlackBerry App World 2.0, with improved payment options, search funtionality and easier access to the top 25 lists for better app discovery.
The new version arrives as RIM seeks to establish itself as the solid third tier player against Apple's App Store and the Android Market, and hold off the likes of Nokia's Ovi Store and Windows Mobile's App Marketplace.

Perhaps the most important change is the upgrade to the app browsing funcitonality, which allows users to scroll through the top 25 free and paid apps, as well as new and recetly updated applications.
BlackBerry App World 2.0 now allows smartphone users to pay for their apps via credit cards as well as paypal, while in the US BlackBerry owners will be able to charge apps to their mobile bill with certain networks
If you upgrade your handset, the new BlackBerry ID system will allow access to a personal library of free and purchased apps from the store, which can then be downloaded to your new device.
The newest version of BlackBerry App World is available for beta preview to customers in the United Kingdom from BlackBerry Beta Zone
