BioShock Infinite delayed again
Games Reviews
Today brings bad news for the Rapture faithful and anyone else eagerly awaiting the release of Irrational Games's latest masterpiece, BioShock Infinite. The game's street date has now been delayed, with a release date that's now planned for March 26th 2013.
Ken Levine, the creative director at Irrational Games made the announcement in Los Angeles on Wednesday this week at the first hands-on preview for the game.
‘When Rod (Fergusson, Epic’s former Production Director) came on the project a couple of months ago he really fell in love with the game,” Levine said. “But he said, ‘look, Ken, I really think the game would benefit from three or four more weeks’.”
“I thought ahead to this conversation and went ‘Oh God!’,” he added. “But at the end of the day, we’ve got to ship a great game. So if it’s three or four more weeks, then it’s three or four more weeks. So it’s March 26th, now.”
This is the second time BioShock Infinite has been delayed; its original release date of October, 16th 2012 was moved to February 26th 2013 earlier this year in May.
