Baylis pricks our conscience with the Eco Media Player Revolution
Crank up the volume
The original Eco Media Player packed all the good intentions, but lacked the spec and the looks for truly wide appeal. So Trevor Baylis is trying again - with the Eco Media Player Revolution.
Probably more evolution than Revolution, the new version still goes for a recycled look last seen around five years back, but does manage a hefty bump up of the spec. That includes more power per crank of the handle, an improved interface and increased storage from 2GB to 4GB (boosted further via SD card). More format-friendly too, playing MP3, WMA, AAC, OGG and WAV audio, along with WMV and MOV video.
Still not enough? Well, how about an FM radio, radio recording and should you run out of juice for your phone, the option to use some elbow grease (and the Revolution) to give your mobile the kiss of life. It's all here and for a price of around £130.
