Battlefield 3 released in the UK following midnight launch
Less than two weeks ahead of the arrival of Activision's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 launch EA has officially released the eagerly awaited FPS Battlefield 3 as gamers queue into the night
Following months of eager anticipation further plumped by dozens of tension building and increasingly impressive teaser trailers EA's first person Shooter Battlefield 3 has launched in the UK.
Hitting stores across the nation at midnight last night the long awaited Battlefield 3 release date saw hundreds of eager gamers across the UK and around the world brave the damp October weather to be the first to get their hands and gamepads on the DICE developed, EA published gaming sensation.

Whilst renowned for its ultra realistic first person combat the much loved Battlefield franchise has often marked out in-game vehicles as one of its core pillars to success. Not to disappoint for the series' third instalment EA has previously released a selection of Battlefield 3 trailers outing the title's impressive selection of road and air faring machines.
With users able to take full control in the hugely popular Battlefield 3 multiplayer modes a selection of army cars, tanks, helicopters and fighter jets are all available for high speed, high octane warfare.

With less than two months to go until Christmas, Battlefield 3 has marked itself out as one of the hottest games for the holiday period with the coveted gaming chart Christmas number one slot expected to be contested between Battlefield 3 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
