Battlefield 3 launch celebrated by 'Tank taxis'
To celebrate the launch of Battlefield 3 game publishers EA Games have unleashed what they're calling 'Tanksi's' or 'Tank taxis', a selection of 16 tonne Abbot tanks ready to battle the London traffic.
Providing lucky commuters with a fare-free journey the tanks were out and about causing a storm, in fact T3 was lucky enough to get a lift to work in one, taking the scenic route from Waterloo up through Whitehall.
Battlefield 3 Launch
The Battlefield 3 UK launch was at midnight yesterday which means it's now out in the wild after wowing gamers with trailers showing off the stunning Frostbite 2 engine. Featuring completely destructible environments, a huge array of weapons and a equally sized array of vehicles Battlefield 3 looks set to be the biggest game of the year.
Battlefield 3 Price comparison
Of course now that it's out in the wild the race will be on to find the best price, Tesco's and Sainsbury's have both shunned their usual tactic of offering hugely competitive deals which points towards Battlefield making huge sales across the country. To get the best UK deals for Battlefield 3 it looks as though gamers will need to head away from the normal channels.
Battlefield 3 Review
T3 managed to get a hands on preview of Battlefield 3, and from first glance it looks set to be a real stormer. While lacking some of the emotional depth that Modern Warfare likes to use in spades Battlefield instead aims to shock with ultra-realism and incredible graphics.
