First Battlefield 3 DLC, Back to Karkand, hits PC and Xbox 360 one week after its PS3 release with four new maps added to the epic FPS release
A week after hitting Sony's PS3 console developer DICE has released the first DLC for its latest epic first person across all platforms with Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand landing on Xbox 360 and PC yesterday.
With the PlayStation's one week exclusivity of additional Battlefield 3 content brought to an end DICE and EA have rolled out the post release downloadable content adding four new maps and a host of vehicles, weapons and dog tags to the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 rival.
Continuing the intense battle scenes seen within the full title the four new maps introduced in the Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand DLC are Wake Island, Strike at Karkand, Gulf of Oman and Sharqi Peninsula.
Far from cheap the first downloadable content pack for Battlefield 3 will set wannabe owners back roughly a quarter of the full title's price, less than two months after the first person shooter first hit stores.
With PC gamers needing to fork out £11.99 to get their gamepads around the new content, those who sport an Xbox 360 console will have to splash out 1200 MS Points (£10.28). Any gamers who own the Battlefield 3: Limited Edition release will add the DLC content free of additional charge.
