The PSP phone is almost here...with an exclusive game

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is almost out in the UK and it's already got an exclusive game, Backstab, in its portfolio.

Sony Ericsson has partnered up with Gameloft to launch a game for the Xperia Play, which will be exclusive to the phone for a month. It will be made available along with the Xperia Play's March 31st launch in the UK.

The action and adventure game will be based in the 18th century on a Caribbean Island and is the story of one Henry Blake accused of treason who is about to embark on a mission of revenge. Gameloft is also looking at launching 10 new games for the Xperia Play launch.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is modelled on a PSP console down to the control buttons, and has a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, with game playback said to be 60 fps. Weighing 117g, it runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, with a 5-megapixel camer and a 4-inch LCD capacitative touchscreen.
