Following the 25th anniversary of the original film’s release, Telltale Games has started taking pre-orders for the upcoming Back to the Future: The Game.
With a December launch date now pegged on to the game that follows on from the near $1billion grossing film trilogy, Telltale Games has announced the title will be available on the usual mix of PC, Mac, Sony PlayStation 3 as well as Apple’s iPad tablet device.
Developed in collaboration with Bob Gale, co-writer of the Back to the Future trilogy, and Universal Partnerships & Licensing, the game can be pre-ordered in the US now from www.backtothefuturegame.com.
"We're very excited to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Back to the Future franchise with a completely new adventure", said Dan Connors CEO of Telltale Games.
Connors added: "It's been an amazing experience to be part of reuniting Marty McFly and Doc Brown on their continuing quest. Back to the Future fans will have a great time helping to control the integrity of the space-time continuum".
PC and Mac versions of the game have been handed a $24.95 price tag stateside with PS3 and iPad pricing, along with UK costs still awaiting confirmation. As an additional feel good factor to one of our favourite films finally coming to consoles, $1 of each sale will be donated to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
