Asus MeMO 370T 7-inch tablet not coming to UK

Amazon Kindle Fire rival gets debut at CES 2012

Arriving to critical acclaim the Asus Transformer Prime has wowed with its looks and power and now Asus looks to cash in on the budget market as well

Asus have confirmed that as yet 'they have no plans to release the MeMO tablet in the UK' with the company instead focusing on releasing the Asus Padfone tablet/smartphone hybrid.

Asus have been showing off their latest tablet the 7-inch Asus MeMO 370T which features Ice Cream Sandwich and has Nvidia's Tegra 3 inside making it a clear contender as the main rival to the hugely popular Amazon Kindle Fire.

This would make it one of the most powerful 7-inch tablets coming to the market and firmly puts to bed the rumours that the MeMO would only have a 1.2Ghz processor.

With a 1200x800 screen resolution the MeMO has been designed with portability and productivity in mind and features a stylus (much like the HTC Flyer) which lets you jot down ideas or draw images.

Of course what will really attract attention is the fact that it'll not only be running Android Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box but that it also has Nvidia's hugely powerful Tegra 3 quad-core processor inside, making it one of the smallest tablets to feature such high-end grunt.

With the current economic climate in mind as well the MeMO is clearly aiming to undercut many of the premium tablets out there and will reportedly be selling for just $249 in the US.
