Assassin's Creed 3 is on track to break publisher Ubisoft's pre-order records selling ten times the advanced copies as its predecessor
With a launch pencilled in for the end of October publisher Ubisoft has revealed that the upcoming Assassin’s Creed 3 release is on track to become the most pre-ordered title in the franchise’s history.
Reportedly lined up to become Ubisoft’s most pre-ordered title to date, Assassin’s Creed 3, which made available for advanced purchase three weeks ago, has eclipsed the pre-order figures recorded by its earlier renditions within the same time frame.
Reigniting the franchise to its former highs, Assassin’s Creed 3 has currently recorded pre-order figures 10 times higher than those of last year’s Assassin’s Creed Revelations offering.
Tipped as “the biggest game launch in Ubisoft’s history,” Tony Key, Senior Vice President of sales and marketing at the gaming publisher has said that "with a development cycle of three years, Assassins Creed III is the true next-generation experience of the Assassins Creed brand.”
He added: The production value of the game, combined with the biggest marketing commitment we've ever made, will make Assassins Creed III the highest-selling Assassin's Creed game ever. Additionally, the new setting and hero makes this the perfect time to jump into the series for anyone that has not previously played an Assassin's Creed game."

Set to land as Ubisoft’s flagship release for 2012 as an attempted Christmas chart topper, an Assassin’s Creed 3 UK release date has been set for October 31st with the title to land for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC gamers.
