First gameplay trailer reveals new free running style and weapons

Assassin's Creed 3 is set to make a big entrance come its Oct 30 release date, not just because of the previous games but also thanks to a redesign

The first Assassin's Creed 3 gameplay trailer has been unveiled showcasing the games new Anvil Next engine, Ubisofts most ambitious and most powerful games engine yet giving Connor the ability to interact on a scale not seen before.

Unlocked by fan votes the new gameplay trailer showcases just how fluid the characters have become with the lead character seamlessly running through forest tree tops and climbing cliffs.

Most importantly however it showcases Assassin's Creed 3's weapons, including a modified hidden-blade which appears to be detachable. Elsewhere you'll find evidence of just how far the free-running has come from the first game with Connor able to enter buildings as well as climb over them.
