Archos 32 8GB details leak

New iPod-alike PMP will pack Android

Leaked listing comes months after Archos first teased slew of new Android tablets.

Archos promised that it would be bringing Android to six new tablets later this year, and now details of one of the little blighters has emerged through a US gadget retailer.

Online store J&R has all the specs and deets on the Archos 32 8GB. Rocking a 3.2-inch panel, with a camera, mic and Wi-Fi, it’s clearly aimed right at the iPod touch.

As well as those pretty impressive specs, it’ll record VGA clips, with rumours flying that it’ll handle HD Ready video playback too. Take that Apple.

Other devices in the new Archos Android range are still under wraps. But the French PMP maker has already revealed they will range from 3 to 10 inches in size and all pack Google’s OS. It seems it has both the iPod touch and iPad in its sights.
