Apple Time Capsule: 3TB model revealed

Capacious new back-up drive outed

Wireless back-up device gets upgrade after two years.

Apple has lifted the lid on a new 3TB version of its back-up focused Time Capsule. The new top-of-the-range hard drive will set you back a whacking £399, but will let you wirelessly save all your documents seamlessly.

The 2TB model is now £249, with the old-school 1TB model being discontinued. Clearly Apple reckons that users are stashing stacks more data these days, hence the more capacious disk space.

The Time Capsule works in conjunction with Mac OS X’s Time Machine feature, automatically storing copies of documents, projects and media files so there’s always an up-to-date back-up available.
