Ahead of this evening’s Apple iPhone 5 launch event Apple’s online store has been taken down with the now infamous yellow post-it note and ‘We’ll be back soon’ declaration teasing a selection of upcoming arrivals.
Once again stating “We are busy updating the store for you and will be back shortly,” the Apple online retail outlet looks set to add a host of new products in the coming hours with the eagerly awaited Apple iPhone 5 to land alongside a refreshed white iPod Touch.
Apple iPhone 5 Launch: What to expect
Kicking off at 6pm GMT today, Apple’s ‘Let’s talk iPhone’ event has been the thing of rumour speculation for months with last week’s confirmation invites putting further expectation on the fanciful feast of exciting new products to be unveiled by the Cupertino company.
With an entry level iPhone dubbed the Apple iPhone 4S expected to launch as a competitor to the influx of low-end Android smartphones, Apple looks set to expand its grip on the mobile market. Celebrating its tenth birthday the iPod is in line to be given another refresh with a white iPod Touch 3G tipped for inclusion. Further possible arrivals include Apple HDTV and app rentals through iOS 5.
