Apple MacBook Pro range to get complete design overhaul

MacBook Pro redesign detailed as iMac updates

MacBook Pro next on Apple's design refresh list

The hugely popular range of MacBook Pro computers are to adopt a brand new look and form factor when the series is next updated, the range’s first design overhaul since 2008, new reports have revealed.

Last refreshed just a couple of months ago in February with the sleek, desirable devices becoming the first to come equipped with the new high speed Thunderbolt port, the MacBook Pro line is set to be on the receiving end of a full design update with one insider source reportedly claiming the refresh will mark a “milestone” in the MacBook Pro range.

Whilst details as to what the MacBook Pro redesign might entail remain firmly elusive, recent updates to Apple’s other computing devices such as the MacBook Air and iPad suggest new MacBook Pro devices could sport a considerably slimmer form factor and solid state drive storage.

News of a MacBook design overhaul come on the same day speculation grows around a refresh of the iMac range with shipping of current models currently pulled in anticipation of new devices beginning to ship on May 2nd.
