Lack of number pad does for wired effort.
Apple kills off compact wired keyboard
Apple’s compact wired keyboard, unveiled last year with its current iMac line, has been given the chop by Steve Jobs. The accessory failed to take off as it lacked a number pad on the right hand side.
A similar wireless version is still up for grabs for the hefty price of £56. Alternatively, you can nab the wired version with digits for £39.
The add-on now displays the sign, “Discontinued product,” when you search for it on the Apple store, although third parties still have some if you’re desperate for some small time wired keyboard action. Let’s face it, who isn’t?
