Scrapping the trademark click wheel the latest and sixth generation of the Apple iPod Nano is smaller than ever and now proudly sports a 1.7-inch multitouch compatible touchscreen following a number of updates unveiled during Apple's 'Special Event' in California on September 1st.

Due to start shipping this week, the new iPod Nano, with Shuffle-sized proportions and a Shuffle-esq clip is available in six colours and 8GB and 16GB capacity models, priced £129 and £159 respectively.

T3.com got hold of one and put it through the unboxing process.
