Apple’s head honcho and front man, Steve Jobs took to the Cupertino stage wearing his infamous black sweater proudly proclaiming “This year we’ve gone wild” with the updates to the iPod range that will also see the Touch get front and rear facing cameras.

The Nano’s update has taken the previously small device to Shuffle sized proportions featuring a Shuffle-esq clip so it can be worn as your very own Apple-branded broach.

With a nifty looking multitouch user interface, the new Nano with its square screen can be orientated for easy access via two-finger rotation controls. With a built in FM radio and solid volume control buttons along its brush metal shell the new Nano is available in six colour variants.

Coming in 8GB and 16GB capacities, the updated Nano is available for pre-order from today ahead of shipping next week priced at£129 and £159 respectively marking the sixth generation Apple iPod Nano as a sure thing to be atop many a Christmas wish lists this year.
