Apple iPod event: mid-September say reports

New touch and nano not set to land for another month

Word of mid-August event crushed by latest round of gossip.

The all-new iPod touch won’t be making its official debut until the middle of September. That’s according to All Things D, which says it’s spoken to ‘several sources’ which all say the annual gathering is being held later than usual.

This follows on from gossip last week which suggested the yearly iPod jamboree would be held on 19 August. That date is now being forgotten by Apple fanatics, with the new-look jukeboxes being held back.

The new iPod touch is said to come with a Retina Display and two cameras, while the nano is also in line for a minor bump. There’s even chatter of a smaller touchscreen iPod, although this remains highly unlikely.
