Latest Apple iPhone 5 gossip points to bigger form factor and new home button, as chatter about the handset's design goes into overdrive
Apple iPhone 5: new home button design spied
As the iPhone 5’s launch finally nears, the rumour mill has got itself into a total tizzy about a string of new leaks. The biggest of these focuses on leaked shots of a new iPhone screen protector, seemingly showing a new, larger design and an elongated home button.
The images, unearthed by Unwire.hk, back up earlier leaked design drawings, which showed off the new look home button. How this will work in practice remains to be seen. Will it be a standard key for returning to the main menu, or a multitouch button for swiping through menus?
It all comes after new case designs showed off the new device’s new rounded back plate, which its makers claimed would be made out of aluminium. This first in with previous gossip about the handsets iPad 2-like looks.
