The Daily, the iPad-only newspaper which is a collaboration between Rupert Murdoch's News Corp and Apple has now launched in the UK.
The Daily costs 69p a day to subscribe to, or just £27.99 for an entire yearly subscription, has launched very quietly in the UK compared to the massive fanfare which greeted its arrival across the pond.
There has been no official announcement, but The Daily has appeared on the UK App Store. as discovered by The Guardian.
The Daily, which currently features US-centric content isn't offering much for UK-based users at present, but we'd certainly hope that the 100-strong editorial team we've heard so much about gets cracking on writing some stories about the old country.
Commenters on iTunes certainly aren't satisfied with the level of non-localised content at present, and it appears that they only thing that's changed is the $ for the £ sign.
For the moment we'd suggest sticking to a free alternative like Flipboard for content perfectly tailored to your desires in a well-designed, digital magazine.
The paper was initially scheduled to launch in the UK in June this year, so at least it's here.
