Apple iPad 2 release venue teases tablet features
Second-generation iPad release nears as launch prep begins
Just hours after Apple released invitations to the expected iPad 2 unveiling the fruity tech giant has been spotted preparing the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, host to the US event.
Promotional signage featuring the Apple logo and cascading blobs of colour has been snapped adorning the downtown San Francisco venue ahead of the March 2 official announcement.
Declaring “Come see what 2011 will be the year of,” the iPad 2 launch invitations featuring the iOS calendar icon depicting the March 2nd date pealing away to reveal a tantalising sneak peak of the next generation Apple tablet.
Whilst exactly what features will be included on the eagerly awaited iPad 2 remains shrouded in mystery, it is widely expected that the mooted device will launch hosting front and rear-facing cameras, a dual-core processor, slimmer, lighter form factor and Apple’s FaceTime video calling technology.
Based on the inclusion of the colour splash branding decorations, it is also believed that the iPad 2 will tout the much rumour higher resolution display.
