Bringing the iPad experience to your Mac
Apple is expected to announce its next mobile handset, the iPhone 4 at this year’s WWDC keynote tonight. What with our heads all stuck in the iPhone rumour landslide, one thing we certainly weren’t expecting or anticipating was the emergence of this: a Bluetooth trackpad instilled with multitouch, designed to bring the iPad and iPhone touch-friendliness and gestures to the desktop experience.
We’ll have to wait until tonight to be sure (follow our liveblog here), but these spy shots point to a device around the same size of the 9.7-inch iPad, built to take your finger swiping and pinch-to-zoom actions as an input for Mac desktops and tablets.
In theory, it could act as an official graphics tablet (if bundled with a stylus) to aid designers in drawing. We’ll know for sure tonight, but check out the few spy shots we have by clicking the link below.
